ARCA was one of the industry contributors during the development of the U.S. EPA’s Responsible Appliance Disposal (RAD) program and prepared some of the first RAD reports to the EPA for clients that are RAD partners.

To be eligible to participate in RAD, a program must properly recycle, recover, reclaim, destroy and dispose of as much as possible of the appliances collected, including rigid foam insulation, using environmentally sound practices and technologies.

ARCA collects program data on a continuous basis and helps RAD partner clients complete the annual reporting form. The RAD form is a Microsoft Excel file that translates the data that is entered into how much energy usage and carbon-equivalent emissions were reduced as a direct result of the program that year.
