Rachel Holmes directs ARCA’s development of new clients; manages utility program and corporate advertising, marketing, and communications; and oversees environmental, regulatory and industry research. Holmes is responsible for identifying potential venues and materials to promote recycling programs and serves as the primary point of contact for prospective electric utility clients regarding bids, proposals and contract development. As the company’s primary liaison to trade associations, Holmes is responsible for marketing the company’s services to a wide range of business-to-business clients. She is also responsible for ongoing research on industry-related legislation, technical advances in appliance recycling, and developments in environmental issues, particularly those related to mitigating ozone depletion and global warming. Holmes has been with the company for more than eighteen years in roles of strategic planning and marketing.
Holmes is a member of the Association of Energy Services Professionals national organization and Midwest chapter, and Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance, among other trade associations. She is also a regular participant in trade conferences and educational courses related to demand-side management and utility program marketing.
Prior to joining ARCA, Holmes held several marketing and communications positions with a West Coast financial institution.
Holmes holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Minnesota (Minneapolis) and is currently in the Masters program at Bethel University (St. Paul, Minn.).
